Three generations of the Claus family have flown it, and the son flies the last leg in person.

Nineteen hours and twenty minutes, door to airstrip.
The place
Ultima Thule Lodge is a family-run lodge on the Chitina River inside Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, about 100 miles from the nearest road. The Claus family fly their guests in and out themselves.
There is no road: the last leg is a bush plane, flown by the lodge.
